Minor Injuries Sustained in Antioch Car Accident on Highway 4 near Somersville Road

Antioch, California (July 11, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a multi-car accident that happened Sunday evening on a highway in Antioch.
Three vehicles were involved in the 7:10 p.m. crash on eastbound Highway 4, just west of Summersville Road.
A Dodge Challenger, a gray Lexus RX350 and a third car were involved in the accident. The Dodge ended up in a ditch.
Contra Costa County firefighters responded to the scene with two ambulance buses.
The collision resulted in minor injuries to an unknown number of parties. It remained unclear if anyone was hospitalized.
The Nos. 4 and 5 lanes remained blocked for slightly more than an hour following the accident.
