Minor Injuries Reported in San Leandro Crash on Interstate 880 near Interstate 238
San Leandro, California (July 7, 2022) – Authorities are investigating a Thursday afternoon two-vehicle accident that resulted in minor injuries in San Leandro.
The minor injury accident occurred at about 2:58 p.m. on southbound Interstate 880, just before the Interstate 238 transition.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a tan GMC SUV collided with a green Kia Optima sedan on the freeway for undetermined reasons.
As a result of the crash impact, the GMC reportedly flipped over and landed on its wheels. The Kia sustained significant front-end damage.
Minor injuries were reported in the accident.
Further details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
