27-Year-Old Man Hospitalized after Mission Valley Crash on Friars Road

Mission Valley, California (October 5, 2021) – A 27-year-old man was injured in a Saturday morning traffic accident in Mission Valley, authorities said.
The moped accident occurred at about 10:21 a.m., on October 2, in the 7000 block of westbound Friars Road.
According to the police, the male moped rider allegedly entered the intersection at a red light.
Unfortunately, the moped rider was struck by a Honda Civic that exited an apartment complex parking lot and was headed southbound on Friars Road.
Man Hurt in Mission Valley Crash
The rider was injured in the accident and was hospitalized for treatment.
The 30-year-old man driving a Honda Civic was not injured in the mishap.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
