At Least 2 Injured in Modesto Car Crash on Highway 132 at Paradise Road
Modesto, California (January 13, 2022) – Authorities are investigating a serious injury head-on collision that happened Wednesday night in Modesto, sending at least two people to the hospital.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred at around 8:20 p.m. on Highway 132 at Paradise Road.
A black 2009 Toyota Corolla collided head-on with a green 2003 Acura TL for unknown reasons. One of the cars went off the roadway into the field and the other was blocking the roadway after the crash.
One of the drivers was lying down in the roadway and the other was pinned inside their car.
AMR dispatched one air ambulance and two ground ambulances to the scene shortly after receiving reports about the accident.
CHP said the crash resulted in serious injuries. Both drivers were injured, but the extent of injuries sustained by each party was not mentioned. One of the patients who had serious injuries was taken to Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
Investigators did not immediately determine the cause of the crash, but an investigation is ongoing.
