2 Injured, 1 Seriously, in Montague Crash on Interstate 5 near Julien Cemetery
Montague, California (October 30, 2021) – Two people were hospitalized Friday afternoon following a traffic collision in Montague, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The major injury crash happened at around 5:12 p.m. Friday, October 29, on Interstate 5 near the Julien Cemetery.
CHP said a vehicle was traveling at approximately 90 miles per hour on northbound Interstate 5 when it slammed into at least two other vehicles. Two of the cars were described as a gray Chevrolet Trax and a white-colored SUV.
One of the involved vehicles overturned as a result of the collision.
Major Injury Collision in Montague
Emergency personnel responded to the crash site and found two unresponsive drivers. Both patients were then transported to the Fairchild Medical Center, one of them with major injuries.
The northbound lanes of the Interstate 5 were shut down following the wreck.
No further details about the crash were immediately provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
