At Least 1 Seriously Hurt in Morongo Valley Crash on Highway 62 near Fobes Road
Morongo Valley, California (May 5, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a major injury Morongo Valley crash that happened Thursday night on Highway 62.
The wreck occurred at about 8:06 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the highway near Fobes Road.
A U-Haul van and a dark-blue Mitsubishi SUV collided, possibly head-on, for unknown reasons.
Cal Fire officials and paramedics responded to the scene. One party was reported to be combative with the ambulance crew.
The crash left at least one person with major injuries.
The report also said that a firearm was located outside one of the vehicles.
The crash left the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes blocked for an unknown period.
