Rider Critically Hurt in Hesperia Motorcycle Accident on Main Street near Maple Avenue

Hesperia, California (September 20, 2022) – A motorcyclist was airlifted to the hospital after a collision that took place Tuesday morning in Hesperia, as per a local news source.
The incident occurred at about 9 a.m. in the 14400 block of Main Street, just west of Maple Avenue.
The crash involved a 2011 Yamaha Motorcycle and a white 2016 Mitsubishi Lancer.
The Mitsubishi attempted to make a left-hand turn into a business parking lot and ended up turning directly into the path of the motorcycle.
The motorcycle collided into the passenger side of the Mitsubishi. The car came to a stop at the entrance of the Starter Brothers shopping center.
San Bernardino County Firefighters responded to the scene. The firefighters requested an air ambulance to airlift the motorcyclist to an out-of-area trauma center. The rider was hospitalized with critical injuries.
The female driver of the Mitsubishi was not hurt. She stopped and cooperated with investigators.
The No. 2 lane of Main Street was shut down to allow an investigation and the scene to be cleared.
