Motorcyclist Airlifted After Crash on Main Street in Hesperia

, California (September 20, 2022) – A motorcyclist was airlifted to the hospital after a collision that took place Tuesday morning in Hesperia, as per a local news source.

The incident occurred at about 9 a.m. in the 14400 block of Main Street, just west of Maple Avenue.

The crash involved a 2011 Yamaha Motorcycle and a white 2016 Mitsubishi Lancer.

The Mitsubishi attempted to make a left-hand turn into a business parking lot and ended up turning directly into the path of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle collided into the passenger side of the Mitsubishi. The car came to a stop at the entrance of the Starter Brothers shopping center.

County Firefighters responded to the scene. The firefighters requested an air ambulance to airlift the motorcyclist to an out-of-area trauma center. The rider was hospitalized with critical injuries.

The female driver of the Mitsubishi was not hurt. She stopped and cooperated with investigators.

The No. 2 lane of Main Street was shut down to allow an investigation and the scene to be cleared.
