Rider Killed in Highway 299 Crash near Highway 3 in Douglas City
Douglas City, California (August 4, 2022) – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a login truck Thursday afternoon in Douglas City, Trinity County.
Authorities responded to Highway 299 east of Highway 3 near Indian Creek Lodge after the crash occurred at about 3:18 p.m. on August 4.
The authorities said a motorcyclist collided with an empty Peterbilt logging truck and got stuck underneath it.
The rider died of injuries sustained in the crash.
Traffic flow on the highway was affected following the accident.
