Santa Paula, Calif. – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a pickup truck Thursday evening at an intersection in Santa Paula, authorities said.

According to the Santa Paula Police Department, the accident took place at about 6:220 p.m. at Peck Road and Santa Paula Street.

Investigators said a man was riding a motorcycle when, for an unknown reason, he collided with a pickup truck.

Emergency personnel transported the rider to County Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.

The pickup truck driver was not injured.

Authorities are investigating the collision.
