Motorcycle Rider Dies after San Jose Accident at Monterey Road and Branham Lane

San Jose, California (July 5, 2022) – A motorcyclist involved in a collision with a vehicle at an intersection in San Jose early last month has succumbed to his injuries, according to San Jose police.
The accident happened in the area of Monterey Road and Branham Lane at around 8:54 a.m. on June 3.
Police said the man was riding a 2005 Suzuki motorcycle northbound on Monterey Road when he failed to stop for a red light at the intersection and was hit by a 2002 Mercury SUV.
The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased on Friday, July 1.
The name of the motorcyclist has not been released pending notification of the next of kin.
The driver of the SUV was not injured.
Authorities said the motorcycle involved in the collision had been reported stolen.
An investigation into the deadly collision is ongoing.
