Rider Killed in Ocean Beach Motorcycle Accident at Sunset Cliffs and Nimitz Boulevards
San Diego, California (September 9, 2022) – A 33-year-old motorcyclist was killed after colliding with a car Friday afternoon at an intersection in San Diego's Ocean Beach neighborhood, as per a local news source.
The incident took place at about 5:42 p.m. at Sunset Cliffs Boulevard and Nimitz Boulevard, near 8 Freeway.
According to San Diego police, the motorcyclist ran a red light at the intersection and collided with another vehicle.
The male rider was thrown onto the side of the road by the force of the crash. He was pronounced dead at the crash scene.
Authorities are investigating the collision.
