Rider Injured in Oceanside Motorcycle Accident on 5 Freeway near Las Pulgas Road
Oceanside, California (September 4, 2022) – A motorcyclist was hurt after colliding with a van Saturday afternoon in Oceanside, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place at about 1:07 p.m. on northbound 5 Freeway near Las Pulgas Road.
CHP said the collision involved a motorcycle and a U-Haul van. The motorcycle was reportedly driving recklessly before the accident.
The motorcyclist was lying in traffic lanes after the collision.
Firefighters responded to the scene to help the rider, who sustained minor injuries. It was unclear if the injuries needed hospitalization.
Several traffic lanes were temporarily closed as authorities investigated.
