Man Critically Injured in Oakland Motorcycle Crash on Baldwin Street
Oakland, California (March 9, 2022) – A 51-year-old man was hospitalized after his motorcycle collided with a vehicle in Oakland on Tuesday evening.
The accident occurred at around 6:25 p.m. in the 8200 block of Baldwin Street near Hegenberger Road.
The motorcyclist was riding a bike eastbound on Baldwin Street at an allegedly high speed and was passing lanes in the opposite lane of traffic.
Police say the rider then crashed into a vehicle that was exiting a driveway and was ejected from his motorcycle.
The rider sustained severe injuries on his head and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
It's not clear whether alcohol and drugs played a role in the crash.
