Rider Hospitalized after San Jose Motorcycle Accident on 680 Freeway near Highway 101

San Jose, California (September 17, 2022) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after colliding with a car Saturday morning in San Jose, the California Highway Patrol said.
The collision was reported at about 10:31 a.m. on southbound 680 Freeway, just north of Highway 101.
A motorcycle collided with a white Honda Accord under unclear circumstances.
The motorcycle was blocking the No. 1 lane, and the rider was lying in the center divider after the collision.
Firefighters responded to the scene and blocked the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes.
The motorcyclist was transported to Regional Medical Center with road rash and lacerations to the arms and stomach.
The motorcycle was towed away from the scene.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
