Man Killed in Escondido Motorcycle Crash at Bear Valley Parkway and Hayden Drive
Escondido, California (December 24, 2021) – A motorcyclist died after being struck by an SUV in Escondido on Thursday morning.
The fatal motorcycle accident happened at about 12:30 p.m., December 23, at the intersection of Bear Valley Parkway and Hayden Drive.
California Highway Patrol said the motorcyclist was riding on the east sidewalk of Bear Valley on a Yamaha YZF450 off-road motorcycle when he was struck by a Lexus NX 300 SUV making a left turn onto Bear Valley.
The unidentified rider was taken to Palomar Medical Center where he died while undergoing treatment.
The 30-year-old Escondido woman driving the SUV was unhurt.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
