Long Beach, CA.- A motorcycle rider was killed in a traffic accident in Long Beach on Saturday night, the Long Beach Police Department said.
The incident took place at 45th Street and Long Beach Boulevard just before 9:40 p.m. September 7.
According to police, a 2021 Honda CR-V was traveling southbound on Long Beach Boulevard when it tried to make a left turn onto eastbound 45th Street and was hit by a 2003 Yamaha motorcycle traveling north on Long Beach Boulevard.
The man riding the motorcycle was rushed to a hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Honda was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are conducting an investigation into the accident.
