Rider Killed in Jamestown Motorcycle Accident on Highway 120 near Rushing Hill Lookout Road

Jamestown, California (August 24, 2022) – A rider was killed after a motorcycle accident on Monday night in Jamestown, Tuolumne County, according to a local news source.
The accident occurred a while before 10:00 p.m. on August 22, on Highway 120.
Per the report, the motorcyclist was riding a 2003 Harley-Davidson Road Glidewest and was heading towards the Rushing Hill Lookout Road turnaround when he was hit by a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado heading north. It was not known why Chevrolet that was ferrying bees veered into the rider's lane.
The crash's impact threw the rider, a 67-year-old man from Modesto, from his bike.
Fire officials and medics rushed to the scene to aid the victims. They pronounced the rider dead at the location. The name of the deceased is yet to be disclosed.
The Silverado driver, Ronald Ray Woods of Oakdale, was unhurt in the accident.
Police confirmed that the motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Officials closed Highway 120 and Rushing Hill Lookout Road following the collision.
An investigation is ongoing.
