Bakersfield, CA. – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision that took place in southwest Bakersfield on Monday night, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
The incident took place on Wilson Road and Bladen Street at about 11:03 p.m. May 26.
According to the report, a white Hyundai sedan was trying to turn left from westbound Wilson Road when it got into a broadside collision with a motorcyclist heading east.
The man riding the motorcycle was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The woman driving the Hyundai stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Impairment was not suspected to have played a role in the incident, police reported.
The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating the incident.
