Rider Killed in Bakersfield Motorcycle Accident at Stockdale Highway and Coffee Road
Bakersfield, California (September 18, 2022) – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle at an intersection in Bakersfield on Saturday night.
According to Bakersfield police, the collision happened shortly before 9 p.m. on September 17, in the area of Stockdale Highway and Coffee Road.
The motorcyclist reportedly failed to stop for a red light at the intersection and collided with another vehicle.
The rider of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The identity of the motorcyclist was not immediately released pending notification of the next of kin.
The driver of the second vehicle was not injured and stayed at the scene.
Authorities closed the intersection of Stockdale Highway and Coffee Road as they investigated the incident.
The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating the accident.
