A motorcyclist was heading north on Gene Autry Trail when they crashed with a vehicle that had been going south and trying to make a left turn onto eastbound Via Escuela

Palm Springs, CA – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a vehicle in Palm Springs on Sunday night, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.
The incident took place on Gene Autry Trail at Via Escuela shortly after 8 p.m. April 28.
According to the Palm Springs police, a 31-year-old Auburn motorcyclist was heading north on Gene Autry Trail when they crashed with a vehicle that had been going south and trying to make a left turn onto eastbound Via Escuela.
The motorcyclist, whose name was withheld pending notification of the next of kin, died in the crash.
The other driver, a 64-year-old Rancho Mirage resident, was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected to have played a role in the crash, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
