US 60 was reopened early Wednesday after the deadly collision near Dobson Road Tuesday night.
Mesa, Ariz. – A traffic collision on US 60 left a motorcyclist dead and shut the freeway overnight in Mesa, authorities said.
The crash occurred Tuesday night on the eastbound US 60 near Dobson Road.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the accident involved a red Corvette and a motorcycle.
The cause and manner of the collision was not mentioned.
The motorcyclist died later after the accident.
The driver of the Corvette was not injured. The motorist stopped and remained at the scene.
Investigators shut down US 60 throughout the night. Traffic lanes started reopening around 4 a.m.
