Jurupa Valley, CA. – A motorcyclist died in a hit-and-run accident that happened early Thursday morning at an intersection in Jurupa Valley.
The Riverside County Sheriff's Department said the suspect was later located at a residence in the city.
The incident was reported around 3:40 a.m. near Limonite and Pacific avenues.
Investigators said a motorcyclist was traveling on Limonite Avenue when he collided with a car.
The rider was thrown from the motorcycle onto the roadway.
The driver of the car did not stop after the crash.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported the male rider to a regional trauma center with grave injuries. The victim later died a short time later.
The investigators later located the hit-and-run suspect at a residence in the city. The vehicle was impounded but no details were given about if the driver was arrested.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
