According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported around 1 a.m. on State Route 67 at Willow Road.
Two motorcycles and a third vehicle were involved in the accident.
Lakeside Fire Protection District responded to the scene.
One of the riders died in the crash, as per the report.
It was unclear if any other person was injured in the accident.
Caltrans closed northbound SR-67 until around 3:50 a.m. following the incident.
An investigation is ongoing.
