Man Dies in Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 880 at Bascom Avenue in San Jose
San Jose, California (September 9, 2022) – A motorcyclist died Thursday afternoon in a crash involving a pickup truck in San Jose, as per a local news source.
The collision happened at about 4:13 p.m. on northbound Interstate 880 at Bascom Avenue.
The California Highway Patrol said a man was riding his motorcycle north on I-880 when he took the exit onto Bascom Avenue heading south.
The motorcyclist failed to negotiate the curve and went straight. He then went off an embankment and collided with a pickup truck heading north on Bascom.
The rider sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. His identity was not immediately released.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
