, Ariz.- A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision in Peoria on Saturday, according to the Peoria Police Department.

The crash happened on 107th Avenue north of Beardsley Road on Saturday, January 3.

Police said a motorcycle and a vehicle were involved in the collision.

The motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

It's unclear whether speed or impairment were factors in the accident.

The crash caused the closure of 107th Avenue between Deer Valley and Beardsley roads.
