Rider Injured in Richmond Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 580 Freeway near Richmond-San Rafael Bridge
Richmond, California (June 10, 2022) – A motorcyclist sustained major injuries in a collision with a vehicle near Richmond on Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred on Interstate 580 Freeway, just east of the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge at about 11:14 a.m. on June 10.
A gray Nissan SUV was traveling in the eastbound lanes of the freeway when it collided with a motorcycle that was attempting to turn around.
The rider was rushed to a hospital with major injuries.
The two vehicles were towed from the site of the collision.
The CHP is conducting an investigation into the accident.
