Rider Critically Injured in Kearny Mesa Accident on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard
Kearny Mesa, California (June 27, 2022) – A crash between a motorcycle and a vehicle left one person with major injuries in Kearny Mesa on Sunday night, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The crash in the 9000 block of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard happened shortly before 11 p.m. on June 26.
The motorcyclist was heading east on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard when he collided with a 2021 Penske truck that made a right turn in front of him.
The 27-year-old rider was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
No one else was hurt in the incident.
Authorities said alcohol is not suspected to have played a role in the collision.
The cause of the wreck is under investigation.
