Rider Suffers Serious Injuries in Mountain View Motorcycle Accident on Highway 101 near Rengstorff Avenue Off-Ramp
Mountain View, California (January 27, 2022) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a traffic collision that happened Thursday afternoon in Mountain View, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at around 3:36 p.m. on southbound Highway 101, just north of Rengstorff Avenue off-ramp.
The motorcyclist collided with a vehicle of unknown description, flipped up in the air, and landed in an unknown traffic lane.
Several motorists stopped to assist the victim.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported the seriously injured rider to the hospital in unknown condition.
A SigAlert was issued closing the Nos. 2 and 5 lanes of southbound Highway 101 just north of San Antonio Road.
Authorities are investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
