At Least 1 Hurt in San Mateo Car Accident on Highway 101 near 3rd Avenue
San Mateo, California (July 24, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a multi-vehicle collision that happened Saturday morning in San Mateo, leaving at least one person with minor injuries.
The pileup occurred at about 10:55 a.m. on northbound Highway 101, just south of 3rd Avenue.
A red Dodge SUV, a silver sedan, and a third car collided for unknown reasons.
A female occupant of one of the cars got out of the vehicle crying and holding her arm.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and confirmed only minor injuries were sustained.
The SUV was towed away with moderate rear-end damage and the sedan with major front-end damage.
