According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, Gavarrete and a 19-year-old male were riding on scooters when they were struck by the RV

Koreatown, CA.- The 9-year-old boy who was hit and killed by a recreational vehicle on Thursday evening in Koreatown has been identified as Nadir Gavarrete, 9, according to the authorities.
The collision was reported at around 7:25 p.m. July 31, in the 300 block of South New Hampshire Avenue west of Vermont Avenue.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, Gavarrete and a 19-year-old male were riding on scooters when they were struck by the RV.
The two victims were rushed to a hospital, where Gavarrete was pronounced deceased.
The teenager was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
The collision is under investigation.
