Lancaster, CA. – Kevin Gately Jr., 51, of Lancaster died in a collision that happened Friday night at an intersection in Lancaster, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office reported.
The wreck took place at about 9:40 p.m. at Longview Road and East Avenue J.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Gately Jr. was in a gray Toyota sedan that collided with a big rig at the intersection under unclear circumstances.
First responders found the sedan under the cab of the semi-truck.
Gately Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the big rig was not injured.
