Nancy Palacios Killed in Wasco Crash on Palm Avenue near Taussig Avenue
Wasco, California (December 15, 2021) – The woman who was killed in a crash that occurred in Wasco Tuesday morning has been identified as Nancy Palacios, 26, of Wasco, according to the Kern County Sheriff's Office.
The incident happened on Palm Avenue near Taussig Avenue at about 5:50 a.m. December 14.
Authorities said Palacios was driving northbound on Palm Avenue when she drifted onto the right shoulder for unknown reasons.
Palacios then overcorrected and swerved into the southbound side, where she collided with an oncoming pickup truck driven by Cale Austin Rogers.

Authorities said Palacios died at the scene of the collision.
Authorities believe alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash. The roadway was wet due to heavy rain when the crash happened.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
