, California (May 10, 2022) – Several people were hurt in a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 221 in south Napa on Saturday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Four vehicles were involved in the collision that occurred south of Napa Valley Corporate Way at about 2:40 p.m. on Saturday, May 7.

CHP said a 61-year-old man was driving a 2007 Acura RDX southbound on Highway 221 when he crashed into the rear of a 2021 Ram 1500 pickup that was slowing down for traffic ahead.

The was pushed forward, and it collided with a 2007 Toyota Highlander, which then slammed into a 2020 Lincoln Nautilus.

The driver of the Acura and his passenger, an 87-year-old woman, were taken to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center with minor injuries.

The occupants of the pickup, identified as a 68-year-old woman and a 6-month-old boy, also had minor injuries and were taken to Providence.

The 53-year-old woman driving the Toyota was also taken to Providence with minor injuries.

A passenger in the Lincoln, a 78-year-old Novato woman, complained of pain but declined medical transport.

The accident remains under investigation.
