Driver Seriously Injured in Napa County Crash on Jameson Canyon (Highway 12) and Kirkland Ranch Road
Napa County, California (October 25, 2021) – A multi-vehicle collision occurred in Napa County on Monday afternoon, seriously injuring one of the drivers, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred just before 3:32 p.m. on Jameson Canyon (Highway 12) and Kirkland Ranch Road.
According to CHP, a Ford SUV was making a turn onto eastbound Jameson Canyon Highway from southbound Kirkland Ranch Road when it was broadsided by an eastbound recreational vehicle.
Three other cars were also caught up in the wreck.
Driver Airlifted after Napa County Crash on Jameson Canyon (Highway 12)
The driver of the Ford sustained major injuries and was airlifted to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center.
Two other parties were transported by ambulance to Queen. The extent of their injuries was not specified.
Authorities said the stop lights were not working at the intersection due to a power outage caused by a Sunday night rainstorm. The driver of the RV reportedly failed to yield at the intersection, leading to the crash.
The wreck caused a closure of the eastbound side of Jameson Canyon as authorities worked to clear the scene.
The incident remained under investigation.
