Mesa, AZ – 50-year-old Nasser Chidiac of Mesa was killed in a wrong-way crash on Loop 202 in Mesa Saturday night.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the mishap happened at around 11 p.m. December 7 on Loop 202 near Power Road.
As per the reports, a vehicle was traveling wrong way when it crashed into a passenger car driven by Chidiac.
Chidiac was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in Chidiac's vehicle was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. Their current condition was not disclosed publicly.
The wrong-way driver, a 23-year-old San Tan man, remains in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Multiple people were also taken to hospitals after the crash, according to the Mesa Fire & Medical Department.
The incident remains under investigation.
