Authorities Investigating Serious Injury Newberry Springs Crash on Interstate 15
Newberry Springs, California (November 12, 2021) –Authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle collision that occurred Thursday afternoon on Interstate 15 in Newberry Springs.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pileup was reported at around 1:13 p.m. on northbound Interstate 15.
Several vehicles, possibly seven, were involved in the accident under unclear circumstances.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to help the motorists.
The report said the crash resulted in major injuries, and an air ambulance was requested to airlift at least one patient to the hospital.
All northbound lanes of the freeway were blocked to allow the helicopter to land on the freeway.
CHP officers are investigating to establish the cause of the pileup.
