Noela Vasquez Hurt in Twentynine Palms Crash on Twentynine Palms Highway and Larrea Avenue

Twentynine Palms, California (September 17, 2021) – Noela Vasquez, of Desert Hot Springs was hospitalized after a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday in Twentynine Palms, according to authorities.
Shortly before 9:26 a.m. September 15, authorities said David Carlisle, 52, of Desert Hot Springs was driving a green Toyota east on Twentynine Palms Highway when he failed to stop for a red light at the intersection of Larrea Avenue and collided with a white Ford Explorer that was attempting to make a left turn onto the highway from northbound Larrea Avenue.
After the collision, the Toyota continued on and slammed into the curb.

Vasquez was a passenger in the Toyota. She was taken to a hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Carlisle was also transported to a local hospital following the accident.
Authorities said both occupants of the Toyota were extricated. Alcohol and drugs were not believed to have played a role in the accident.
The collision is under investigation.
