According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Lalji was driving a Mercedes Benz west on Lincoln Dr when he collided with a dog in the roadway

Paradise Valley, Ariz. – One of the pedestrians who were hit and killed by a vehicle in Paradise Valley on Sunday night has been identified as Nooraly Lalji, 47, according to the authorities.
The crash happened on Lincoln Drive east of 46th Street just before 6:40 p.m. January 7.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Lalji was driving a Mercedes Benz west on Lincoln Dr when he collided with a dog in the roadway.
Lalji then stopped and went to check on the injured dog.
A man living nearby, identified as John Wintersteen, 78, also went to check on the dog.
Shortly after, the two pedestrians were hit by a Lexus RX.
At least one of the pedestrians was also ran over by a Nissan Sentra.
The victims were taken to a hospital, where both died.
The dog was also killed in the incident.
The drivers involved in the collision stayed at the scene.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
