Bicyclist Injured in Normal Heights Crash on North Mountain View Drive
Normal Heights, California (March 28, 2022) – A bicyclist sustained major injuries in a collision that took place in Normal Heights on Sunday afternoon, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The crash took place in the 3400 block of North Mountain View Drive at about 4:43 p.m. March 27.
Police said a black Honda Civic was westbound on North Mountain View Drive when it crashed into the curb, drifted off the road, and collided with a 61-year-old man riding a bike.
The rider was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries. The injuries were not life-threatening.
The driver, a 28-year-old, was arrested on DUI charges.
The San Diego Police Department is investigating the incident.
