Bicyclist Hospitalized after North Highlands Accident on Interstate 80 near Watt Avenue
North Highlands, California (September 29, 2021) – According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, a bicyclist was hospitalized with major injuries sustained following a traffic collision Tuesday morning in North Highlands.
The bicycle crash occurred on the Interstate 80 Freeway at the Watt Avenue connecting road shortly before noon.
The CHP said the cyclist was riding a bicycle in the westbound onramp of the interstate when was hit by a vehicle for reasons still under investigation.
Additionally, a gray Ford Escape with the front end damage was located at the scene by emergency crews.

The bicyclist, who had suffered major trauma in the crash, was attended to by paramedics before being taken to a local hospital for further medical aid.
