2 Hurt, 1 Airlifted after Sunday Night Fiery Oak Hills Crash on 15 freeway

Oak Hills, California (January 10, 2022) – One person was airlifted to the hospital after a fiery car collision involving a semi-truck Sunday night in Oak Hills, as per a local news source.
The California Highway Patrol said the wreck occurred at around 10:11 p.m. on southbound 15 Freeway just south of the truck escape ramp.
The accident involved a Dodge Challenger and a semi-truck loaded with poultry.
CHP said the Dodge crashed into the rear of the parked semi under unclear circumstances.
Both vehicles caught fire after the impact. The fire quickly spread to the trailer, but the driver was able to detach his trailer from the cab and exit without injuries.
The San Bernardino County firefighters and other emergency crews responded to the scene.
A female occupant in the Dodge suffered a broken leg and was bleeding from her forehead. A helicopter was requested to airlift her to a trauma center. A second person in the same vehicle suffered minor injuries.
Southbound 15 Freeway was closed until shortly after 11 p.m. following the collision.
