At Least 1 Seriously Injured in Oakland Car Crash on I-880 Freeway near Interstate 80 Freeway
Oakland, California (December 21, 2021) – At least one person sustained major injuries in a traffic collision in Oakland on Tuesday morning, according to California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred on I-880 Freeway, south of Interstate 80 Freeway at around 11:47 a.m.
CHP said a white medical transport van was traveling northbound on the I-880 Freeway when it slammed into the center divider and rolled over.
The van drifted across the southbound lanes into the grassy median and was involved in a crash with another car in the process.

At least one person was transported by medics to a hospital with major injuries.
At least two northbound lanes of the I-880 Freeway were closed for the investigation.
The crash is under investigation.
