At Least 1 Seriously Hurt in Oakland Car Crash on 580 Freeway near Edwards Avenue Off-Ramp
Oakland, California (April 26, 2022) – At least one person sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle collision that happened early Tuesday morning in Oakland, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The wreck was reported at around 2:24 a.m. on eastbound 580 Freeway, just west of the Edwards Avenue off-ramp.
Authorities did not immediately establish the cause and manner of the accident.
One person was stuck in one of the cars.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and helped at least one person who sustained serious injuries.
Both vehicles were towed away from the scene.
All eastbound lanes were blocked for an unknown period following the accident.
