Rider Hurt in Oakland Motorcycle Accident on 880 Freeway near Fruitvale Avenue
Oakland, California (April 13, 2022) – A motorcyclist suffered minor injuries in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Wednesday morning in Oakland, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The pileup took place at about 7:11 a.m. on northbound 880 Freeway, just south of Fruitvale Avenue.
A motorcycle, a white Nissan SUV, and two other cars were involved in the accident.
First responders found the rider lying down in the No. 2 lane and the SUV blocking the No. 1 lane.
The motorcyclist was treated for minor injuries at the scene, but it was unclear if they were hospitalized.
CHP is investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
