, California (April 1, 2022) – Two workers at Oakland Unified were hit and injured by a vehicle at an intersection in Oakland on Thursday morning, according to a local news source.

The workers were on their way to school when a woman got distracted by her child and struck the pedestrians.

The incident took place in the area of High and Wattling streets at about 7:30 a.m. March 30.

Authorities said both victims were launched into the air by the impact of the accident.

They were both taken to hospital with broken bones and other serious injuries.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
