Minor Injuries Sustained in Oakland Car Accident on 80 Freeway near 580 Freeway
Oakland, California (February 15, 2022) – Minor injuries were sustained in a traffic collision that happened Monday night in Oakland, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck occurred at about 10:48 p.m. on the westbound 80 Freeway to eastbound 580 Freeway connector.
Caltrans responded to the scene to find a car of unknown description that had collided with a big rig, ending up stuck underneath it.
The Caltrans officials requested CHP officers and paramedics to respond.
The report said minor injuries were sustained in the accident but did not mention the number of patients.
The crash left traffic on westbound 80 Freeway to eastbound 580 Freeway connector temporarily closed. Motorists were being diverted to southbound 880 Freeway.
