One Person Killed in Oceanside Car Crash on Interstate 5 near Las Pulgas Road

Oceanside, California (December 6, 2021) –One person has died in a traffic collision that happened early Monday morning on an interstate in Oceanside near Camp Pendleton, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The tragic accident, which was reported a little before 3:30 a.m., happened on the southbound side of Interstate 5 near Las Pulgas Road.
CHP said the crash possibly involved two vehicles. Details on what led to the collision at this time are unknown.
Oceanside Collision Leaves At Least 1 Dead
One person, whose name was being withheld pending family notification, died in the crash.
Another person was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
Police temporarily closed three lanes of Interstate 5 near Las Pulgas due to the incident.
No further details about the crash were immediately provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
