Sunnyside, Wash. – 32-year-old Omar Olivio and 8-year-old child were hospitalized after a car crash in Sunnyside Monday afternoon.
The Washington State Police responded to the accident on Interstate 82 on March 11.
Reportedly, a semi truck slowed down for traffic while heading westbound on Interstate 82 two miles east of Sunnyside when a car reportedly hit the semi's trailer from behind.
The driver of the car, Olivio and the passenger were hurt in the wreck. They were rushed to Astria Sunnyside Hospital for treatment.
Olivio was driving while drowsy. He is facing a second degree negligent driving charge.
