Needles, CA – One person is dead following a semi-truck traffic collision on Interstate 40 near Needles Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly crash happened at about 10:48 on June 15 on westbound Interstate 40, just east of the Agricultural Inspection Station.
According to the CHP, two semi-trucks, including one hauling a UPS parcel trailer, were involved in the incident.
One person was killed in the crash. The identity of the victim was not immediately released.
CHP said the westbound lanes were completely shut down moments after the collision.
A heavy-duty tow truck was requested to the scene to remove the vehicles.
No additional details regarding the crash were provided.
