Hesperia, CA – One person is dead and another is in critical condition following a two-vehicle accident on Summit Valley Road in Hesperia Wednesday night.
The deadly crash happened at about 8:33 p.m. on July 16 on Summit Valley Road near Las Flores Road, and just south of Ranchero Road.
Investigators said a white SUV and a silver Acura sedan collided head-on.
Deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department and the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District fire crews responded to the crash scene and pronounced one person dead. The identity of the victim has been withheld pending next of kin notification.
One other person was critically injured and was hospitalized.
Summit Valley Road was shut down in both directions.
The crash remains under investigation.
